EducAid is a UK registered charity that runs an educational network comprising of free schools, teacher training, and tertiary programmes in Sierra Leone. We have supported them in various ways in the past. They have established a relationship with UNIMAK to provide degree level education for their staff. EducAid has become an outreach section of the UNIMAK Business, Administration & Management department offering the UNIMAK degree in their own way in Port Loko.
Educaid’s Country Director, Miriam Mason, asked Makeni Trust Fund for support towards the additional costs they incur in running this outreach section. Because it would be a way of supporting the excellent work of both Educaid and UNIMAK, the Trust has agreed to support four students: Bai Kamara, Jordan Kamara, Gbessay M Sesay, and Yusifu Bangura pictured here signing into the university on Saturday during their matriculation.
Miriam writes: “Educaid and the students are very appreciative.”
